Animal Frolics

Tuesday August 12, 2008

If you've had a feline or canine companion, you've probably noticed that these non-human friends posess a distinct intelligence - which in moments even seems to surpass our own (imagine that!). And not only cats and dogs, but also elephants, dolphins, whales and countless others. A similar observation is the basis for the animal frolics qigong form - which has us imitating the movements of animals as a way of accessing their special forms of intelligence.

On the other hand, there is the teaching that says: the human nervous system is uniquely qualified to manifest the deepest levels of mystical/spiritual unfolding. For this reason, a human birth is "precious" in a way that birth as, say, a dolphin or whale or king python is not. What's your feeling about this?

Big Cat Love

For some truly heart-warming and intelligent animal frolicking, enjoy this peak into the rather unusual life of Christian the Lion, and his human benefactors. Sweet!
